"Each language plots reality in its own way."
Luis Magrinya
language map
Where in the world are the languages I speak spoken?
French
Official language in France, Switzerland, Belgium, Canada and several African countries with almost 300 million speakers worldwide.
I have always had a special interest in learning languages. As can be seen on the map, French and Spanish are two languages with which one can communicate in dozens of countries on different continents. What luxury!
As Luis Magrinyà said: «Each language divides reality in its own way». Therefore, learning new languages is also learning other ways of seeing and understanding everything that surrounds us.
I have had the opportunity to study in a French high school and learn a new language since I was 3 years old.
It is undoubtedly a privilege to learn three languages from such a young age. I have always felt very attached to French culture and very comfortable when it comes to expressing myself in the language. Therefore, I cannot consider French to be a "foreign" language.
Spanish
Almost 496 million people have Spanish as their mother tongue
I I have raised and grew up in Sitges, a town near Barcelona, and this has allowed me to have two native languages (Catalan and Spanish). In addition to completing my higher studies in this language, my training in French-Spanish translation has allowed me to improve and enhance my knowledge of Spanish.
